Becoming a major donor is an opportunity to fund specific projects in our theatre. Major donations help us to plan ahead. This means we can achieve our long-term goals.
Whether you wish to sponsor an aspect of the restoration work or donate equipment you are most welcome to talk to our team. You can choose to make a one-off donation from €5000 to €25000 and on, or provide funding over a number of years. You can donate to us on your own or in a group with family, friends or colleagues.
How would you like to own an amazing chunk of history for €50? The Smock Alley Theatre walls still contain bricks from the original 1662 building. That means they are 348 years old!!! They are rare fragments of one of the oldest theatres in Europe, literally, the building blocks of the European theatrical tradition!

Did you ever notice the vast amount of other lights required in a performance space? Profile, fresnels, strobe, fluorescents… its not only about the spotlight! Paying for the lights, wiring, rigging and lighting boards it's not cheap… and we still have to cover the electricity bill!
Every little cent can go to towards paying for these, so when the stage manager shouts 'Lights up!' Smock Alley Theatre wont be left back in the dark ages of 1662!
